Benefits

Fine-line
processing enabled by photosensitivity
contributes to the higher performance
and higher resolution for devices.

RAYBRID™ is a conductive material used in photosensitive processes, and excels at fine wiring patterning. Adoption in touch panels, heaters, antennas, EMI shielding, etc. is being explored.
Enables delivery of high-performance automotive devices while balancing design, functionality, and manufacturability.

Features

Simple process

This process is simpler than metal etching, consisting of four steps: coating film formation, UV exposure (negative), alkali development, and heat treatment.

Flexibility
(Cured type)

Since the conductive particles in the dry film are dispersed in the resin, it is a composite material between the resin and the conductive particles. In order to impart photosensitive characteristics, the design contains a high resin content. This makes the wiring itself flexible and difficult to crack.

Transferability

It is possible to form a pattern on a release film and transfer the formed pattern by heat transfer. This will also enable the use of curved substrates, expanding the range of base material options.

Use Cases

#01

Creating lighting effects with light-transmissive switches

By forming metal mesh wiring using RAYBRID™, the light transmissivity can be increased and enabling stealth switches.

#02

Micro-wiring and
transparent heater

™By using RAYBRID to form a fine mesh structure with a visible light transmission rate of 90% or more on the base material, the system is expected to be deployed in stealth heaters.

#03

Hovering sensor that creates a sense of wonder

Using RAYBRID™ to position the hovering sensor functionality beneath various surface materials, enables deployment of hovering sensors triggered by any movement of the occupant.
